Madeline Stewart Taking on America
Madeline Stewart is gearing up for her move into the Porsche Carrera Cup North America next year following a successful debut season overseas. After securing third place overall in the 992 Pro-Am class in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, the 23-year-old New Zealander is set to progress in 2024 as part of a two-year agreement with JDX Racing.
Madeline Stewart's debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America next year will be accompanied by a visually striking livery, designed by Australian racecar designer Tim Pattinson of TP Race Design. The stunning design features blue zebra-like patterning on a Matte Metallic base complemented by eye-catching magenta accents. This distinctive livery will be sure to stand out on the American grid.
A packed schedule awaits Stewart, with three of the eight Carrera Cup North America rounds scheduled to coincide with Formula 1 events. She will compete on the F1 undercard at Miami (May 3-5), Montreal (June 7-9), and Circuit of the Americas (October 18-20). The remaining rounds will be in support of IMSA, taking place at Sebring, Watkins Glen, Road America, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Road Atlanta.
"Our program for next year is starting to come together," said Stewart. "Carrera Cup will be another significant step for me, but with a year of racing in the USA under my belt, I'm excited to leverage that experience. It's an incredibly competitive series, with races at prestigious events, and I'm ready for the challenge. We've secured about a third of the funding for next year and are working hard to secure the remainder before testing begins in February."
Beyond Sebring, the eight-round season features stops at Miami, Montreal (Circuit Gilles Villeneuve), Watkins Glen, Road America, Indianapolis, Road Atlanta, and Circuit of The Americas.
Madeline's debut in the Carrera Cup North America next year continues TP Race Design's presence on the grid, following Tom Sargent's championship runner-up finish last season.
