1000 faces #RideWithCastrol for the 1000

TP Race Design along with Castrol and Kelly Racing have revealed an incredibly sentimental livery that brings thousands of fans from across Australia and the world to Bathurst on Rick Kelly’s #15 Castrol Mustang Supercar.

The #RideWithCastrol concept launched last month, inviting passionate fans to submit their photos through social media ensuring that they’d reserve their own unique spot at the Mountain.

This year has proved exceptionally difficult for fans and Supercars teams-alike. The livery is a way to give back to those who have been doing it tough this year. The collage pays special tribute to frontline workers who have borne the brunt of 2020 including those affected by wide scale fires, floods and the health crisis.

In particular, Castrol has a long history of bringing the car to the community at Bathurst - this year we’re putting the community on the car.

The unique paint job is a one-of-a-kind inspired design that stays true to the well-loved colours of the green and red Castrol Racing team.

Castrol legends Larry Perkins, Russell Ingall, Greg Murphy and Matt Mingay all feature on the car and fans are challenged to pick out some of these familiar faces (and more!).

Kelly and Wood’s roles extend far further than just driving the car this year, with the pair also applying the livery and stickering the Mustang after Tim Pattinson produced all the signage back at the Kelly Racing workshop in Melbourne.
